A picture for...

...Mr.  Custer.  You might ask who is Mr. Custer.  That is Hope's bus driver.  He is the same one as last year and the kids really like him.  He is super nice and takes great care of the kids.  I noticed he had a welcome back poster taped to the ceiling in the bus when Hope got on the first day.  So last Friday, when the neighborhood kids got off the bus, they decided they wanted to make a picture for Mr. Custer.

So they ended up at our place and each of the three girls drew a part of the picture, and were so excited to give it to Mr. Custer on Monday morning.  Here is Hope holding the picture.  They drew a castle with a drawbridge, king & queen and princess, prince and royal dog.  :)

Here is Anna and Hope holding the picture just before the bus arrived.

Tonight when they got off the bus, they had this great idea to have a party at Elle's house.  They gathered all kinds of snacks to share, etc. and we all walked over to Elle's house.  Well, I guess they forgot to tell Elle they were having a party at her house.  :)  I had a feeling her mom didn't know anything about it and they had other plans going on tonight, so the party moved back over to our street.  I love that the weather is still nice and the kids just go back and forth between the houses.  I love our neighborhood!

So, since Hope was playing, that gave me a chance to create something for this weeks Tuesday Trigger over on the Moxie Fab World blog.  I dug DEEP into the paper archives.  The papers I used were from Daisy D's and I know I have had it at least 5 years or more.  :)  I had three sheets of paper and managed to stretch that into 13 cards.  WOW!  All inspired by this Tuesday Trigger photo...

There were so many things that inspired me in this photo.  I love the weathered wood/distressed/vintage look of the headboard and the banner.  I also had some flower ribbon I bought this winter similar to the pillow on the right.  So I just started pulling out product and got to creating.

Here are two cards..

The first one I focused on the love banner in the photo and the vintage overall feel.  I have never really tried to create vintage cards and it was kind of fun once I got the hang of it.  The collage type paper made it easier, so I just had to cut my paper to cover the entire card base.

Here is the second card...

This one pulled more from the pillow on the right.  This is the ribbon I mentioned.  It is really wide and I cut out all the flowers together as one unit.  Other than that, just tied tulle around the card and added a sentiment sticker.

Well, I am going to call it a night.  Keep checking back for more cards based on the Tuesday Trigger photo above.  Like I mentioned, I ended up with 13 total cards.  :)

Have a good night!

Darla
