Catching up!

Wow, we have had a busy April!

Hope's found a neighbor that was fostering a momma dog and her puppies and likes to stop by to visit when we have been going for walks.  She tried to talk Joe into adopting one, but he wasn't really into the idea.  LOL!

Grandma Deloris got Hope a kite for Easter, so Joe and Hope have gone out a few times to try and fly it, with some success.

Lately Hope has been obsessed with bouncing a basketball.  I am torn with this, because she actually does pretty good at dribbling, but her only chance at playing would be as a point guard.  We will see what comes of this.  :)

Joe was gone to Texas last week...

...visited the Alamo.

Joe and I went to the Hy-Vee Spring Celebration.  They kept the entertainment a surprise, which ended up being Jay Leno!  It was a pretty good show.

And they had a photo booth...

And today, my neighbors and myself and have been on baby watch...our neighbor Jill and her husband Nate had a baby this morning, but they didn't share what they had (boy/girl) until their three boys could come to the hospital this afternoon to visit and find out first.  So we FINALLY got confirmation they had a 4th BOY!  Congrats to Jill and Nate on becoming a family of 6!

So on that note...here are some birthday cards to celebrate the new birth!

And to celebrate Jill on becoming a mother again!  Best wishes and praying for a quick recovery for you!

Well, I am anxiously waiting the arrival of my friend Kristi for a weekend of fun and catching up!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Easter Fun!

Well our Easter weather was beautiful!  We got up and went to Easter service at our church and then headed to my sister's for our family dinner.  I hope you all had a great Easter too.  Here is the highlights...

The weekend before the twins came over and we colored eggs...

...and Hope dyed her hands too.  She looked like a moldy piece of cheese.  LOL!

You know those plastic wraps that come in the dye kit, well Hope wanted to put them on her eggs this year.  So we got the blowdryer out to shrink them on the eggs.  This cracked me up when she did this.  LOL!

Easter morning Hope got up REALLY early (see it is still VERY dark out) to find eggs.  Luckily, the bunny didn't fall asleep and forget to come (yep that was a real possibility).

Don't look at the scary reflection of me in the window.  YIKES!

And something new this year (probably since the weather was nice), the bunny actually hid eggs outside too.  She didn't discover these until we were getting ready to leave for church.

We finally got to hold this little guy, my newest great-nephew, Nolan.  Hope loved him.

We had an egg hunt for all the kids here too.

Kids is a loose term...for all the kids at heart too (AKA my sister Dee).

We took a picture of Nolan's older sister Kendal like this when she was a baby.

And they topped they day off by taking the girls on a mule ride through the pasture.

The even got to see a baby calf that had been born about 20 minutes before they got there.

So much fun and great memories.

Today is my mom's birthday, so here is the card I gave her.  Love you mom!  Hope you had a great birthday!

So to continue the theme of MOM, here are some cards celebrating MOM's everywhere!

Well, I am off to movie night with the ladies from the neighborhood.  Wine and popcorn!  YUM!

Painting Masterpieces

Last weekend started the first of many busy weekends coming up this Spring, but I am looking forward to everything coming in the next few months.

So the ladies in my neighborhood like to go out and do fun stuff together, so we decided to try out Social Canvas, which is a place that walks you through how to make a painting (while drinking mimosas).  Of course, the mimosas was part of the fun!  LOL!

Ok, I am not sure why I didn't smile for my own picture, but maybe I had not had enough to drink yet?  Anyway, we did laugh a lot and have a lot of fun.

Here is all of our final masterpieces!  I think everyone did a GREAT job!

This week we had some wicked wind...this picture cracked me up with the wind blowing through Taylor's fur and blowing her ears straight out.

Well, keeping it short for tonight, but mostly because my computer is NOT cooperating tonight!  So I am going to call it quits.

Since it is Easter weekend...here are some Spring and Easter related layouts to share.

Until next time...
