Just sharing crafty stuff...

Just dropping in the share some more layouts in case anyone wants to see them...

I blogged about this photo when we took it, but I love reliving the memory of the fun we had taking this photo (and the shenanigans after as well).

This is a layout capture some of my favorite moments from our first trip to Universal and the Harry Potter part of the parks.

Joe and I took a trip to Vegas a few years ago and made it to Hoover Dam.

Most years we try to make it to the State Fair.  While we didn't make it this year, last year Joe was able to take Hope and have some fun!

More from our trip to Vegas!

This might have been one of the most epic going away parties in the hood.  :)

Joe had a business trip to Myrtle Beach a few years ago, so I tagged along.  We even got to go on a fishing tour...see journaling from the greusome details.  Since it was a long story, I made a pocket behind the top photo and used the clip to hold it closed.  Needless to say, I will never willingly go on a fishing trip again.  LOL!

This was one of my first attempts of adding mixed media to a scrapbook layout and I did some sewing on it as well for texture.  While it turned out ok, I have done some other layouts recently with better results.

My favorite part of Hogwarts is going through Platform 9 3/4.

Some of these layouts I feel like I might have already shared them, but oh well.  You get to enjoy them again.

And I recently purchase a cutting machine and this was one of my first layouts backing a cut file with different papers.  I turned out pretty good.

This is a near copy of the layout I saw created by Paige Evans and I loved it so much I just had to create it myself.  Those paper rolls took forever, but I loved how it turned out.

We were there exactly a month after the shooting in Vegas and had actually never gone out to the Welcome to Vegas sign before this trip.

We were lucky enough to go to the opening game in the brand new Vikings stadium.  Since Kristi is a huge fan, we took her along with us to enjoy the fun!

And finally this layout was about one of my visits to see Evon in UT.

Changing focus...

Well, here it is again, several months since I made a blog post.  I used to blog all the time because it was fun to share all of Hope's FUNNY stories when she was little.

Now that she is older, well there aren't as many silly stories to share so I have decided to focus more on just sharing my creative projects and maybe share a few things here and there.  So if you are not into the creative stuff, well, you don't know what you are missing, but I won't blame you if you decide not to keep reading.

So like I mentioned a few months ago, I have still been crafting away and have made a LOT of layouts to share and a few cards here and there as well to share with you.

So this was my first layout where I used a cut file with my Cricut machine.  I am slowly learning how to use it and have found a lot more ways to incorporate into future layouts I will share.  I love the film strips that allow me to include A LOT of small photos of all the different scenes from the play.

Hope played one of the orphans in the Spring Break production of Annie at the DSM Playhouse.

I typically don't do a scrapbook page for every event during a school year and instead make a two page layout covering as many events as I can.  This is one of those layout covering Hope's 5th grade memories.

Hope had some fun in the back yard snowboarding over Christmas break.

For the past 3 years, Hope has attended the Dorian Music camp and had a blast.  At the end of the week they have a concert for all the students to show the skils and songs they learned over the past week.   We also learned that her cell phone reception was not good and so we didn't hear from her all week.  We assumed if there were issued the camp would call us.

The first year Hope was just learning the ropes of the deep traditions of this camp.  So for her second year, she couldn't wait to participate in Orange Day.  The students dress up in crazy costumes and at the evening assembly, they crown an orange king and queen.  Well, as we purchased her costume I tried to tamper her excitement that she was SURE she was  going to win, because, well...there are over 300 students and there was no way to know what the competition would be wearing.

Well, there was no need for that because...SHE WON!  She was so excited and called to tell us that night.   She didn't send us any pictures of her in the costume, but we did get some off the camp website of the crowning ceremony and Hope wearing her costume during class.  Hint...she is the one in the orange hair, orange shirt and orange tutu.  LOL!

The other fun thing about her second year was that the theme was Harry Potter!

Here is another DSM Playhouse production.  Hope had a few different parts:  salesman, farmer and one of the kids in the band (she got to "play" the drum).

On a crafty note...this layout was using some older stash items.  It always feels good to use up older items.

Showchoir was one event that I did decide to showcase on its own since I had a lot of pictures I wanted to include.

As the title says, this was another 3-day class Hope took over Christmas Break at DSM Playhouse.

This was an old picture I found in a pile that I had never scrapbooked, so I decided to finally get it on a page and I also got to use some new and old stash items.

And this was always one of my favorite pictures of a family photo session we had when Hope was 2. I never scrapbooked it on a layout (I did use it in a tiny mini album), but I think since it was my favorite I wanted the layout to be special.  Well, I guess I finally found the right paper collection to use to create this layout.

Ok, if you made it this far, well, thanks for sticking with me.  I still have a lot more crafty items to share so keep an eye out...you never know when I will be back.  LOL!

So...you say it's Valentine's Day

Well, surprise!  I finally decided to write a blog post!  I guess you could say it was a crazy ending to the end of 2018 and I just didn't blog.  Oh well...right.  But I have been doing LOTS of scrapbooking, so I need to get to sharing.  And since it is Valentine's Day, here are a few cards I made last year that I never got around to sharing.  LOL!

Hope is too old for the Daddy Daughter dances now, but here is the last one they attended a few years ago.  Happy Valentine's Day to my loves...Joe, Hope and Taylor too!

And guess what...it was also my birthday week.  It was cold, it snowed and I worked all day, so we ordered dinner from Hy-Vee.  It was exciting.  LOL!  We did go out on Saturday to hear a band.  They knew it was my birthday so they called me up on stage and had everyone sing to me.  That was pretty cool, and throughtout the night all these strangers were saying Happy Birthday to me.  :)

And I have actually scrapbooked some past birthday (and other related) celebrations...

This little guy has his first birthday coming up soon!

We celebrated MOM this past spring when she turned 80 by spending a long weekend together in KC.  Her best friend Donna came and suprised her too.

This layout celebrate's Hope's 12th birthday.  She turned 14 back in January.

And a few years ago we celebrated my birthday with a night out with friends at a local brewery.

Well, I wouldn't want to overdo it on one blog post...LOL!  See you in a few months (wink), hopefully not that long, but you never know.
