KISS this...

Ok, so much to share today because I have been slacking again lately on the blog.

Well, since we last left off we got some family pictures.  This is one from our back yard, including our dog Reilly.  Then a few days later we were supposed to meet with a photographer.  Unfortunately she had to cancel due to a medical emergency, so my sister came to our rescue and snapped a few pictures of us.  Thanks Debbie!!!

This is our sassy little thing...showing some 'tude!

On Friday, Hope's school had their annual Monster Mash fun night.  Hope dressed up as Jasmine.  Her pants were a little long.  :)

On Sunday we finally got around to carving our pumpkin.  No guts, no glory!

Hope wanted a kitty cat, so she drew out this idea and Joe helped her carve it.

Then she dressed up like a queen when we went trick or treating in the neighborhood last night.  Yep, we always do it the night before Halloween for some reason.

And now on to my blog title for today...at work we had a costume contest and four of us dressed up like KISS.  I did the make-up for everyone.  We had a LOT of fun and we won the costume contest.  Lick it Up...and Rock and Roll all Night and Party Everyday!  I am the cat...meow.

Alright, now for some crafty stuff too...

Ok, I have a LOT more stuff to get around to share with you.  So hopefully I will be back soon!

Happy Halloween!

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

We finally found time to go to the pumpkin patch.  It was a beautiful day!!!!!

We started out with jackets and actually got hot during our first fun event.  We started out on the tractor ride out to the corn maze.  This year we actually found all of the characters in the maze.  YEAH!  It only took us a few rounds in the maze.  :)

And this is the pumpkin princess...

We loved this funky snake looking gourd.

And Hope took a swim in the corn pool.

...and she had fun with a few spins around the tractor course.

This picture cracks me up, because it looks like Hope is holding up that big pumpkin behind her.  FUNNY!

We had a great day together.

It was so nice we got a few family shots in the back yard with our dog Reilly.  We are actually having other family pictures later this week, but we won't be taking our dog Reilly.  So I thought it was a good chance to see how our clothes coordinated together.

I love the orange sweater on Hope, but she also wanted the sequin hat (which I also thought was really cute), so we will probably have pictures with both since she can just take the sweater off and put the vest on.  I hope the weather holds out.  Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!

Well, I have some more random cards to share...these are from some Fancy Pants paper line and some other misc. items.

Well, I am beat and heading to bed early tonight!  Have a good one!!!

Politics from a kids perspective

When I was 7 years old, I am pretty sure I didn't know who was running for president.  I know there are so many more media avenues for Hope to hear about the election and other politics, but she seems "somewhat" informed about certain aspects of Romney's campaign.

Case in point...

She said a kid in her class said we shouldn't vote for Mitt Romney because then you will have to delete all of your favorite kid shows.  I had to laugh, and then realized they are not too far off the mark of one comment from Romney, since this appears to be related to funds being cut from Public television.  So of course I had to tell her I was going to vote for Romney and she freaked out!  Hahahahaha!

Well, I want to get back to scrapbooking, so will just share some random cards.  Enjoy!

These were made from Echo Park scraps from a layout I made (and shared) a while back.

This is the inside of the card above...

Here is to great wine (which I am drinking now) and great FRIENDS (which I am watching on DVD right now too).  :)  Have a great weekend!

The year of the sevens continues...

We have had several funny "Seven" moments throughout this past year.  Hope is seven years old this year and she gets all excited each time something related to seven happens.

For instance...

When she lost her seventh tooth, she said wow, it is my golden tooth, since she was seven when she lost her seventh tooth.

Oh, by the way, this was her golden birthday, since she was born on the 7th of January.  :)  See lots of sevens this year.

Well, just a bit ago she was sounding out her name and realized her entire name (first, last and middle) equal seven syllables.

Since we are talking about birthdays, here is a layout of Hope's 6th birthday (I haven't done this years birthday layout).  :)

Ok, well keeping it short tonight!  Have a good one!

Red Solo Cup???

Mother!!!!  What were you thinking?????  :)

Ok, soon after Hope got home from school today, she asked me "mom, do you know the song Red Solo Cup?" and started singing the song.  I laughed and said I did know the song and asked where she learned that song, figuring it was from school like a lot of other songs like it.  BUT...she says "from Grandma Deloris!"  It played on her radio in her car when we would go somewhere when you were in San Diego.  I BUSTED out laughing!  LOL!

And now as I type, we are listening to the song Over and Over!  And I just hollar REAL loud when it gets to the point when the say the bad words.  :)  Good grief!

Well, this post calls for sharing this layout...look at that spirit, attitude, spunk or whatever you want to call it.  I love this picture.

I have not finished using all the My Minds Eye papers from this line, so I don't have any coordinating cards to share from this layout.  But here are a few more from a MME Christmas paper line.  Enjoy!

Well, I better go get started on cleaning, etc.  I still haven't even unpacked from either of my recent trips, so laundry is in order too.

Red Solo cup....I fill you up (that is the plan later, but mine will be a real wine glass with, yep you guessed it, wine!)  :)

Crazy...

That is the best way to describe my life the past few weeks!  Mostly a good crazy!  :)

We got back from CA and then a few days later I left for KC to help my sister Dee, with The Scrappy Gourmet, set up for CKC vendor show.  It was a lot of work and I was pretty tired by the time I got home.

Here is some pictures of the booth:

After I got home is when things got really crazy.  Early Monday morning, Joe woke up with pain from kidney stones.  He knew it was bad and ended up going to the doctor for it.  He had a stone too big to pass and had to have an emergency procedure to use wave sounds to blast it up into smaller pieces.  So Monday was really CRAZY!!!  I am happy to report he is feeling much better today.  Yeah!

Well, since it is Parenthood night, wrapping this up quickly so I can go watch (and cry my eyes out)!!!

Here are a few cards to inspire you, since I totally missed World Card Making Day this past Saturday.  Bummer!

On a side note, Target is playing a Christmas commercial.  Isn't it a little soon????  Well, I guess if I can share Christmas cards, they can show commercials, right?  :)

Goodnight!!!
