This piece was by Pollock's wife. When her husband would create a painting and didn't like it he would throw it away. She would retrieve his work, tear it up and create a new work of art by using the torn pieces and painting over it, etc. I thought that was very interesting.
Hope's favorite exhibit (an all the other girls in our group) liked the Silver and Suade exhibit.
The Art Center actually has multiple pieces created by Andy Warhol.
The kids were supposed to go to the sculpture park too, but it was raining and they just drove by in the bus. I was happy we didn't have to walk around in the rain. I am sure the kids wouldn't have minded, but it didn't sound very fun to me. LOL!
I forgot to share this funny photo the other day. Cracks me up!
And THIS happened this weekend...yep Hope wrote in PERMANENT marker on the concrete driveway in front of the garage.
They have since made up (Joe and Hope). I made her write "I love Dad" 100 times. At about 50 she said her arm hurt and wanted to stop. I told her dad's arm hurt after trying to scrub the driveway. She eventually finished up all the lines before it was time to leave for gymnastics. :)
Well, I am going to keep it short...heading to the hot tub!
In honor of a special kid's birthday (Happy Birthday Ethan) here are some birthday cards to share with you tonight! Hope you had a great night!
